“I hope you live a life that you're proud of, and if you find that you're not, I hope you have the strength to start over.”

About Me

My purpose in life is to have a positive impact on people's lives. It brings me tremendous joy to uplift people around me. As a therapist, I am dedicated to helping my clients on their journey to live their lives to their full potential. I am committed to showing up and supporting my clients to learn about themselves, heal, and grow.

Together, we can discover what it is that holds you back and no longer serves you. We will explore how to redirect your energy to harvest more joy, purpose, and fulfillment in your life. I love people and am curious about all sides of them. Society conditions us to present our best aspects and encourages us to hide our darkness, failures, fears, and vulnerabilities.

I am here to embrace all parts of you and create a safe space for you to reveal and learn about your many layers without shame or judgment. I am confident our work will help you move through life more authentically and intentionally.

My Training

I am a psychotherapist first and foremost, and I love my work as a therapist. I got the unique opportunity to study existential phenomenology at Seattle University. Only a few universities in the United States dedicate their programs to this particular school of thought. In a nutshell, Existential Phenomenology asks the question what our purpose in this world is and what it means to be human.

My deeply humanistic and relational training is complemented by my interest in mindfulness. I am a certified yoga teacher and practice meditation daily. I find that this ancient wisdom can offer us a lot of grounding and peace in our fast-paced, ever-changing world. I love sharing these powerful tools with my clients.

I believe that our physical and mental health are interconnected. That is why I studied holistic nutrition at the institute of integrative nutrition and am a certified health and wellness coach. I find it is important to understand what my clients consume daily and examine what serves them and what holds them back. Consumption starts with your nutrition but goes far beyond that. How much time a day do you spent in front of a screen? How many minutes do you dedicate to social media, and how does it make you feel? Who shapes your ideas? What do you do for self-care? How do you like to move your physical body?

With my diverse and extensive training, I can help a person in an informed, intelligent, and holistic way. I try to understand all aspects of you and your life and do not categorize and stigmatize you as a diagnosis or a problem.

My Commitment

I have sincere love for my vocation and truly dedicate my life's work to my craft. I am committed to greeting anyone with compassion, privacy, and without judgement.

I recognize that the field of mental health is moving fast. There is continuously new research and modalities that come out. To my client's benefit, I constantly read, challenge myself to learn, and am curious about the human condition from scientific and artistic perspectives.

I am sensitive to today's fast-paced, modern-day world, and our need to navigate it in a way that is practical, meaningful, and satisfying at a deep and soulful level.

Meet Luna-Bear the therapy dog

Luna-Bear is our therapy dog in training and loves to join sessions upon request. She is the friendliest dog you will ever meet and has put a smile on many people's faces. Therapy dogs are known to make people feel more at ease and comfort when they are facing challenging situations. Luna can help children to overcome previous trauma and fear of dogs. She can bring a lovely presence into the therapeutic space, and she works for free (but appreciates cuddles).

Rates and Insurance

 Rates

I charge $160 for a 50-minute individual therapy session. Couples and Family therapy costs $200 for a 50-minute appointment. The initial Intake session is billed at $190. I do offer extended time sessions if needed. Please inquire about availability.

I offer a special rate for students, essential workers (including parents) and healthcare workers that are affected by Covid-19 of $100. Please inquire for availability.

I firmly believe that mental health services should be available to every individual; thus, a sliding fee scale is available for those who need a lower rate. Please do not hesitate to ask so that we can work out a rate that is comfortable for you.

Insurance

I do not bill insurance but do work on the sliding fee scale, as mentioned above, on the honor system. I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for out of network reimbursement upon request. It would be best if you inquired what this looks like within your plan.

Payment

I accept all major credit cards as payment. Credit cards are accepted through my secured electronic health record system. You may contact me to arrange alternate forms of payment.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 48 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you may be charged for the full rate of the session. I understand that life happens, so it’s important that we communicate about potential cancellations.
